The 4th Edition of the Wind Power Big data and IoT Forum took place this week in Berlin (Germany) and gathered professionals of the wind industry from all around the world.
The goal of this forum, one of the most relevant events of the sector, is to share knowledge and experiences on digitalization, monitoring, machine learning techniques and several other issues regarding the analysis of data obtained at the wind farms, which could contribute to a better performance.
Within this two-day conference, the project coordinator CIRCE presented some of the results obtained by AWESOME so far. Specifically, the researcher Elena González, who is carrying out the PhD study Performance monitoring techniques for operation and maintenance of wind turbines, presented to the audience the general aspects of the projects and her findings on Wind Turbine Performance Monitoring through the use of High Frequency SCADA Data, within the panel related to Benchmarking and performance optimization.
The presentation caught the attention of both the audience and the rest of speakers, who came from some of the main companies, universities and research institutes specialized in wind energy.
