The AWESOME Project at EERA DeepWind2016 conference

EERA DeepWind’2016 is the 13th Deep Sea Offshore Wind R&D Conference, one of the most remarkable events worldwide on deep-sea offshore wind R&D. The event, which was held in Trondheim (Norway) between 20th and 22nd of January, was?organized by the research parties in NOWITECH, in cooperation with the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) joint programme on wind energy and NORCOWE.

The programme included a mix of plenary presentations with broad appeal and presentations in parallel sessions and posters on specific science and technology themes.

During the poster sessions that were scheduled, the project partner Michael Muskulus, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), presented to the attendants the main characteristics of the project, as well as the different projects that are being developed, which aim to improve the O&M of windfarms, bringing new results that could be applied not only in onshore windfarms, but also in offshore generation plants.

The conference has been developing every year since 2004, with the aim of presenting the best on-going R&D on deep sea offshore wind farms, both bottom fixed and floating. The conference is organized in association with the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) joint programme on wind energy, and has since 2014 been extended to a three day event giving more time for presentations and networking.

The poster that was presented at the conference can be found at the “Publications
